Kansas City's historic Union Station was an operating train station from it's opening in 1914 to its closure in the early 1980's. It fell into severe disrepair until voters passed an initiative to renovate and reopen the beautiful building. Trains of the passenger and freight variety pull in and out of the historic station every day and I captured this one as it was pulling in on a summer afternoon.
