Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Petoskey, MI. This old truck was behind an abandoned house.

Time

My husband and I had been "shooting" all afternoon. As we headed home I noticed the tail end of the truck as we passed by an abandoned home. It was early evening as the sun was lower in the sky.

Lighting

The lighting was all nature. The sun is amazing.

Equipment

This was shot with a Nikon D3300, 85 mm lens

Inspiration

Just the way the lowering sun glinted on truck with the wild daisies and long grass growing up around it gave me desire to take a few shots.

Editing

I used Adobe Light room to make a few adjustments.

In my camera bag

I always keep my 35mm, 50mm and 85mm in my bag. I also have my 300mm zoom with me. I have my tripod in my car at all times though I rarely use it unless I need to capture something with a long exposure.

Feedback

Definitely seeing nature overtake objects is a wonderful way of capturing great photos. Shadows from lower sun adds a wonderful light to images.
