I went to the local park today to photograph the fog, but it wasn't thick enough! Instead I found the heron in a surprising position. This statue in a small lake, usually has a gull sitting on top, but today the heron had taken up residence, waiting for the ice to melt to start fishing.

I always take my camera when I visit the local park, & this small statue usually has a seagull sitting on the head. I was amazed to see the heron instead & it was a wonderful opportunity for a good photo. The small lake was frozen, with just a few patches of water showing, & the bird was on a fishing expedition!Time
