It was amazing to watch the elephants....socialize, play, travel and eat!
Their trunks are used for everything...from a gentle caress for their babies, to a weapon, to get a drink, to snapping off tree limbs (like they are toothpicks) in order to get to the green leaves. We watched this elephant, and her family, feed on a grove of trees. Lots of splintering sounds!

It was so amazing to watch the herd of elephants. They were in this area of trees , and they just snapped off branches, like they were twigs, to get to the tender leaves. Yes, they were very happy!!! : )Thank you so much for commenting!!! : )

OUTSTANDING. Too bad they are being poached into extinction. The tusks are just taken off the elephant, leaving him/her to die. Just for the ivory. Great Capture.

Thank you, and yes, it is heartbreaking!! Luckily, anti-poaching efforts/ technologies are making some progress in stopping the poachers.... but so much still has to be done! One way is for people to STOP buying objects made of ivory! When we were on Safari, I could have watched these amazing animals all day....so intelligent and family oriented. : )
