Behind The Lens

Location

I believe this to be Mt Sturgeon in the Southern Grampians National Park, mid western Victoria, Australia. I was returning from a trip to Ararat, Victoria and had just passed through Dunkeld, Victoria and stopped for a break in the Dunkeld Rest Stop a couple of kilometres west of Dunkeld.

Time

Mid afternoon.

Lighting

It was a cool afternoon but with enough cloud about to avoid any harsh shadows.

Equipment

Pentax K-5 hand held. f/7.1, shutter 1/250sec, ISO-100

Inspiration

I like to record some of my travels with my camera, and what better than this photo of the southern most tip of the Grampians National Park, Victoria, Australia.

Editing

I do very little editing of any of my photos, this is as it came off my camera.

In my camera bag

Pentax K-5 camera, 18-55mm kit lens, 70-250mm Sigma lens.

Feedback

There are many opportunities for photographers in the Grampians National Park, in the mid west of Victoria, Australia. There are relatively high mountains to climb with lookouts, waterfalls, scattered throughout the park. There is also a small zoo and a Lake Bellfield near Hall's Gap on the eastern side of the park.
