Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at AL Hada district in Saudi Arabia. At about 1900 meter above sea level you feel as if you traveled away from this hot weather country

Time

Just around sunset at this location you can combine the beautiful sunset light with long exposure at this magnificent mountain road

Lighting

As it is easy to access this location I prefer sunset because it will be in the front horizon. During sunrise you can't combine the street view with the beautiful sun light because it will be behind you.

Equipment

A tripod is a must in long exposure photography. It took about 13 seconds for this shot using Samyang 14mm prime lens on my D750 Nikon. No filters.

Inspiration

I used to travel to this location frequently and I tried in this photo to express my feelings of glory at this location and peace while watching the clouds and feeling the cold air stream creeping at you skin.

Editing

Only little post processing were done, only to emphasize the colorful sky and enhance street view

In my camera bag

I usually carry a wide angle lens and 50 mm lens in my bag because I like landscape photography

Feedback

If you are planning to visit this location I want to stress on timing around sunset or rise because most of the times you will enjoy the clouds that will add to the final composition
