Behind The Lens

Location
This image was created in the models beautiful home. We had the entire run of the house and shot in several different rooms.
Time
This model lived some distance away. I remember there was an accident and a diversion. I was completely lost. Although I arrived late we still took the time to chat over coffee and discuss the shoot in more detail
Lighting
Lighting was provided by 2 Elinchrom 400 studio flash with softboxes using a remote trigger.
Equipment
This was shot with my old canon 5dmkii using a 24-105 L series lens. Luckily she a large house which allowed us to shoot in several locations.
Inspiration
I was looking to show innocence while highlighting the ink. There is a disparity between the two although they also work so well together.
Editing
Apart from converting to b/w not much else.
In my camera bag
Having recently converted wholesale from canon to Sony the first thing I pack is my A7 and my Zeiss 24-70. My 50mm and 85mm never leave my bag. I also carry my Sony flash usually for fill in. A Swiss army knife and a micro fibre cloth.
Feedback
Be patient. You need to build a rapport with the person you are working with. Make it fun. It's a great ice breaker and helps everyone relax.
