I was in Haiti to install water filters for hospitals and orphanages in 2008. It was my first time ever holding a DSLR, and I had only about 10 rolls of film under my belt. After capturing this image, I knew that I wanted to be a photographer for the rest of my life. It was the first time an image I had taken moved me.
