Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo quite a while ago, it was winter 2016. I visited my friend and we drove around to take some photos in the mist.

Time

I was a early morning, with morning mist. We actually hoped for sunny clear winter weather, but it turned out to be foggy.

Lighting

To be honest, I can't remember what I did exactly. I always shoot in Manuel setting so I have most control on the lighting.

Equipment

This photograph I took with my older camera, canon 70D and probably a my landscape lens, 2.8 16-35 mm from canon

Inspiration

That morning we where experimenting with composition. The fog greates a mystic feeling in the photograph. With the lines I tries to creqted dept.

Editing

Yes, I always take time to do edit my photographs. With editing you can create even more your own style. Back in those days I was not as familiar with editing. I did only a bit of contrast and I turner the photograph in to black and white to give it a more mysterious feeling.

In my camera bag

It depends what I do. Normally it is my canon 5d mark iii and a range of lenses, canon 16-35 2.8, canon 28 - 70 2.8 canon 70-300 5.6-6.3 and a fix lens 50 1.8 I also have a sony alpha 6000 with a wide angle lens and a standard lens. This one fits in my waterhousing. Of course I dont carry this with me al the time. Also, since the gear is quite heavy. Sometimes, just to train myself and not annoy myself with so much weight I only take one camera ane one lens. It forces you to be more creative and learn to take photos with what you have.

Feedback

To be honest, never try to copy anyones photo's. For my photography is a artform. Its a way of expressing how you see the world. Its not only about the technology, in my opinion, technology comes almost last. It is your eye and your imagination. So my advice would be, dont copy, be unique and be proud of it. Last think. If you are curious about my last work. I started my photography brand its called I - S E A Y O U you can view my recent work on my website i-seayou.com
