We are new to the 'boat cruising' world and learned a new term. It's 'On the Hook' which means anchoring your boat overnight out in the water instead of at a dock.
Here we are at a small man made bay we found near Jacksonville (Camp LeJeune), NC. As corny as this sounds, after being 'on the hook' there... I am hooked! Being surrounded by nature's beauty every where and with it changing in some way quite literally every minute, I don't want to miss even one. In this photo the golds are coming out and accenting the wonderful variety of blues of the ICWW in southeastern North Carolina.
