Behind The Lens
Location
This is an old abandoned castle in the south of Belgium.Time
I took this picture in the end of the afternoon in the beginning of january.Lighting
I waited two hours long to got the good natural light as I wanted.Equipment
I used my Canon EOS 100D with an EFS 18-135 lensInspiration
I really love to tell stories with my pictures. Abandoned places are just perfect for that, being full of history with a kind of "soul" or "spirit". This castle has a soul, the walls tell stories, and I wanted to capture and share that with a picture full of atmosphere.Editing
I never use Photoshop or something, I'm so bad with a computer... :D I just sometimes adjust settings with my Canon software (contrast, colors, etc...)In my camera bag
In my bag you can find my Canon EOS 100D with its EFS 18-135 lens, another EOS EFS 55-250 lens, my tripod, a panoply of lens filters, a map of the area where I am, a compass, a little bottle of water and cookies.Feedback
"Think less, feel more" is my advice. Of course technical skills are really important to get a good picture. You need a good eye and a good technic, but you also need your heart and your imagination. The goal is not to capture what you see, the goal is to capture what you feel...
