Cinque Terre, meaning "Five Lands", is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the most beautiful places in the world. It consists of five small remote fishing villages strung along the Italian Riviera on the Mediterranean Sea. In one of the villages, Vernazza, pastel-colored houses seemingly hang on the mountainside giving the illusion of an artist's canvas, dotted with paint - a work in progress. A short hike up the trail from Vernazza to Monterossa is a scenic view which no camera can pass without clicking.
