This big guy is affectionately known to many as, "Brutus" the big bull elk - I was on my way to photograph some bighorn sheep when I happened to see Brutus coming across the lake! I'm sure you can imagine how quickly I ran down to the water's edge! In fact, what makes this image so incredible to me is that before I shot this image, I "envisioned" Brutus in the lake, I pictured him exactly as he was with his magnificent reflection on the water! It was an incredibly surreal moment where I had to keep asking myself if what I was seeing was really happening!
