Selfie with a Napoleon Wrasse (Cheilinus undulatus), It is also known as the Māori wrasse, Napoleon fish, Napoleonfish, so mei蘇眉(Cantonese), mameng (Filipino), and merer. Taken on the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns, Australia.
An exquisitely patterned fish, the giant yet gentle Napoleon wrasse is a favourite fish to encounter for divers in many regions of the world. This is because, in areas where they are still not wary of humans, they seem to actively seek out tactile interaction, and have even been known to form bonds with individual scuba divers whom the wrasse recognise and seek out.
I used a Nikon D300 in an Aquatica housing with two Sea & Sea YS110 strobes. For this wide angle I use a Tokina 10-17mm lens.
Camera set to manual mode with these setting:
ISO - 200
Aperture - f-11
Shutter speed - 1-125
