Found these seed pods on a cliff edge safari lodge Monduli, Arusha Region, Tanzania, Africa. I was so fascinated by these I did a painting of it.The protective cover on both sides curls back and the reinforcing edge parts and the individual seed pods blow in the wind.
I would be very happy if someone can identify the tree for me!
