One of my very first overseas adventures was to the stunning World Heritage site Pamukkale, Turkey. I wanted to take a picture that displayed the natural beauty while providing a different view than we are used to seeing. In this picture, you can see the distant mountains that boarder the River Menderes Valley and the beginnings of the travertine pools.
