It was just after lunch on a hot Australian day so the seals were all underwater.Lighting

I wanted to show how graceful the seals were while they were swimming.Editing
I smoothed away the hard line showing where the two edges of the tank met, brightened and brought up the contrast.In my camera bag
I'm very new to photography so the only things I have are my camera and a zoom lens. I'm hoping in the near future to be able to add to this and expand.Feedback
For zoo photos in general I would say go during off peek times (weekdays, out of school holidays), you'll have less worry about people getting in shots. If you can find out when that particular animals feeding time is your more likely to find them active and out as well as getting more of an action shot.
