he police here in full riot gear are blockading the entrance to the Wells Fargo Center (I think that’s what building it was in) where the DNC was being held. They kept us so far from the actual event that the delegates inside could barely hear or see us. These protests were related to the DNC wikileaks that led to Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s resignation after showing that the convention was rigged against Sanders. The protests were entirely non-violent however the police did employ the use of pepper spray at certain points and arrested people who climbed the fence. The man in this picture has a Facebook page called the free hugs project where he has videos of himself hugging police officers and just people in general. Seconds after taking this photo I gave him a hug.
