At dusk, the migrating sand hill cranes come back to the Platte River in central Nebraska. They have been feeding all day on the adjacent farmland close to the Platte. Over 80% of the total sand hill cranes population, about 500,000, use this flyway. It is dramatic, noisy and spectacular. Worthy of a visit from wherever you live in the world.
