Decatur Fire Department Battallion Chief Mike Mcgeehan gives instructions to the firefighters for putting out the fire at a recycling storage area the loading dock at the Herald & Review, a newspaper based in Decatur, Ill., on April 1, 2016. Gary Sawyer, editor and general manager of the newspaper, said he got called in when people insider were alerted to the fire by an unnamed Milikin University security officer passing by. "First I thought 'this has got to be an April fools' joke," he said. The city's fire inspector said the fire easily reached temperatures more than 1,000 degrees, as the steel I-beam had twisted. He also said the fire would cost between $8,000 to $10,000 in damage. He said the fire is under investigation because the cause was unknown.
