On a walking tour of Beethoven territory in Bonn the most disappointing sight you'll find is the house at Rheingasse 24 - if you find it at all. A bland 'modern' structure there is a doorway on the street and a plaque noting that he lived here from 1776 to 1785. But look carefully to your left and a small porthole window has a stained glass image of the view across the Rhine he would likely have had from his desk at the time. It's easy to miss!!!
