Capturing eyes to make an image is one of the most important parts of portrait photos. Great shot.

Behind The Lens

Location

Taken at the Indo-Pak boarder, Turtok Village, India.

Time

Around 2-3pm.

Lighting

Taken in natural light, under the shade of a tree. The cemented alley served as the reflector.

Equipment

I use Canon 5D Mark III with 24+-105 mm lens.

Inspiration

I love taking portraits,I took this photo without any inspirations in mind. I just select my subjects randomly as long as i feel it. And do several angles.

Editing

I do minimal post process in this photo as I wanted to see the natural look of the child. In Photoshop, I added a bit of contrast and highlights using the curves.

In my camera bag

Before may Canon 5DMark iii and Fujifilm XE1 but now , my cellphone is always on the go.

Feedback

Look for other works and try to study it, the lights, poses, background, etc .
