This adult male gorilla was not having a good day. I don't know if my mood would be any better if I lived in a compound surrounded by people taking flash pictures of me all day. When I photograph captive animals, I try to be respectful of the animal. I am always amazed (and frustrated) when I see other people taking pictures with flash while trying to get the animal's attention with loud noises. I also get very frustrated when parents allow their children to run freely while screaming. It has to be so hard on the animals in these enclosures because of the echos and vibrations are amplified in a confined space.
