We were camping at a deserted, unrestored part of the Great Wall of China. I had spotted a radio tower a ridge or two over from our camp. So we stood up at 4AM after only a couple of hours of sleep and hiked-climbed there with our headlamps in the freezing cold. The results were not disappointing, it was a magnificent sunrise!
