At the end of the dramatic black sand beach of Reynisfjara are the spiky basalt sea stacks of Reynisdrangar rising out of the Atlantic Ocean to a height of 66 metres.
Reynisdrangar are commonly associated with the town of Vik.
Folklore says that two trolls unsuccessfully pulled a three-masted ship to the shore when they were caught by the dawn sunlight and turned into stone.
