I made this image in Iceland on the diamond beach close to Jökulsarlon in the south of the island.Time
It was made during sunset in July.Lighting
It was an amazing evening with burning sky/clouds. 1 hour after sunset i had this light at the diamond beach.Equipment
I used a Nikon d800 with the Nikon 14-24mm and a 0.9ND Filter on a Gitzo tripod and a remote.Inspiration
I saw a couple of pictures from the diamond beach but it was a shot as i found it on spot. i din't move any iceblocks etc.Editing
i did some post-processing such is contrast and sharpening and whiteballance corrections.In my camera bag
I normally have (since a couple months) the Nikon d850 and a d800 Body in my bag. Lenses are my 14-24mm, 24-70mm, 70-200mm and the 20mm all from Nikon. Then I am carrying some Haida ND and Grad filters with me and some Timelapse Equipment from Syrp (Genie Mini). Then also a lot of SD Cards and batterys of course.Feedback
Look at the Situations a couple of Moments because the waves are pretty dangerous and the water is freezing cold. I saw some photographers who didn't take care of the waves and they last Cameras, tripods etc. Be aware of higher waves all the time and enjoy the spot, because it is one of the most epic spots I ever visited!! And take your time on place!
