This is at a cross country league meet. The runner's mother is in the back cheering him on. This runner has been working for 4 years since freshman year and each year he was either the alternative of the varsity or just miss the cut. He never gave up, just kept training harder. This year (his senior year) he not only made it to varsity but also became the first runner in some of the varsity meets. He and his teammate won first place in the San Diego CIF cross country championship and 2nd place in CA State CIF XC Championship (division IV). It's an inspiring story.
