This was taken 2 days before the Chimney Tops 2 wildfire spread to Gatlinburg, TN. Smoke was filling the valley below and the sun had dropped past the mountains. As the sun started to set I noticed the smoke lighting up this purple hue from the sunset. I thought the trees in front of me added to the overall image so I shot this at a wide angle to include the silhouetted trees.
