My husband found this little Rainbow Lorikeet in the middle of the road, and had to swerve around him to save him. He stopped and picked the little guy up off the road. The lorikeet didn't have his flight or tail feathers yet, so we took care of him until he could fly. We named him Chippy. He has now been released back into the wild, and is doing well. He still visits us every day, but enjoys his freedom. This photo was taken the night of his arrival into our home. It was love at first sight.
