This shot was taken by me in 2010 when I was in Thailand. I saw these big, bold and beautiful flowers growing on a dead stump. I don't know what type of flower they are, but this is one of my photos that has artists in awe! It shows a perfect consistency of light and dark, what do you think?

I don't think too many understand this photo, so I am going to elaborate. This photo was taken in the thick canopy of the Thailand Jungles, where it's usually very difficult to capture light. Also the dead tree stump is Petrified Wood (wood that has been turned to stone). How do you get life out of a rock?
