I was 9 when Madness first started and I have fond memories of being a completely in love with their music. You name it I knew every word of each song (kept singing these songs in my lessons and inbetween my lessons at school with my best friend (shock that we passed our French exam but I did get good grades for all my school work) We hung out with lots of other friends who were into Madness. I remember being in their fan club magazine wearing a hat, white shirt, skirt pink socks, a tie, getting Christmas Cards from the band, writing to other Madness fans, I remember bleaching my jeans and writing Madness, and other things on.them I was innocent, young and just have super amazing memories of my whole life journey from amazingly happy times to very challenging times of my life this band have been there for most of my life
My mum will always recall the time I phoned BT asking for all the London directories as I so wanted to know where Suggs lived in London and they were going to send my mum all the directories. I was only 9 bless.
I remember taking my sister to one of their gigs whilst she was heavily pregnant and all we did is dance the night away and we had so much fun.
I never every dreamed that one day I would be a photographer and also do music photography. Last night 2nd December 2016 I photographed Madness for the 3rd time. I had to try and stop myself singing whilst I was photographing them. I ended up singing and then holding my breath for a minute to then photograph.
It is always an honour to photograph this band. They keep getting better and better and their performances are always passionate, fun and everyone can enjoy. My dream would be to do some location shots with the band. Just hope this dream will one day come true who knows watch this space. Thank you for the amazing memories. xxx Jenny
