We do have fall colors in Germany, but it's the odd maple tree or a few birch trees in a forest mainly out of evergreens. So seeing the hills explode in color on Cape Breton Island this October was more beautiful then I could ever imagine. This was shot on the Cabot Trail in the mountains, where it was already colder and therefore more orange then down at the ocean. From color theory I know reds and greens are opponents, but with all the shades in between it ends up pretty harmonic again, doesn't it?
