I was assigned a challenge in my photography class to create a selfie and give homage to a famous photographer. When I created this image, I was inspired by the works of Douglas Kirkland, for his iconic images of Marilyn Monrow and Elizabeth Tayler. I feel like Elizabeth in this one. Which is funny, since I was set up in my garage with some natural lighting, one flash, tripod and remote. I also had a mirror in front of me so I could "get into character."
