Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken outside my home is south-west France. I'm a self taught photographer and I am loving finding my way round my camera and seeing a different perspective on the nature that surrounds me.

Time

I took this one morning, I have to peep out of the bathroom window at the back of the house, it looks out on my bird feeders and hold my breath hoping that I won't disturb them.

Lighting

It was quite a bright morning and the birds stood out against the trees.

Equipment

I used my Canon 80D with my Canon zoom lens, 100-400mm and that was it

Inspiration

My inspiration is always the flora and fauna around my home, I am very fortunate that I live in a stunning rural area of France and it doesn't take much to inspire me to get my camera out, especially when I see such beautiful birds.

Editing

All that was needed was a bit of cropping, nothing more.

In my camera bag

If I'm planning a trip my bag always has; Canon 80D and 3 lenses; canon zoom 100-400mm, sigma 70-300 and canon 18-55 plus my Canon SX40HS. I tend not to take a tripod when I'm on a road trip, I prefer to just use the camera as I'm walking about.

Feedback

If you're interested in taking photos similar to this one, other than your camera of course, you'll need lots of patience!
