As I stood there, upon an island in the middle of the 2nd largest lake in the world, I made eye contact with her.
As children ran rambunctiously all around, there she sat, observing the events around her. I knelt down, and looked into her eyes, filled with great depth. Though the barrier of language prevented verbal communication, I felt as though she had communicated a great deal, simply from her eyes.
I named her compassion, as she seemed to watch in such joy and satisfaction as thouse around her ran with such joy.
