great old car shot

Behind The Lens

Location
This was a field behind a body shop I was taking pictures of other cars at.
Time
Mid day sun was overhead but I believe it was cloudy enough that the light was not so direct and harsh
Lighting
Pretty basic outdoor lighting but timing of the clouds just gave it that moody feel.
Equipment
Canon 40D dinosaur ???? and either a Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 Or a Sigma 30mm 1.4 all handheld. Pretty basic and simple
Inspiration
I just love cars old and new. The whole idea that something is this old, been sitting there for how many years always helps me ponder its story. Where did it come from, what has it seen, who drove it, etc. it’s all a story captured in a box
Editing
Not really any post. I try to be minimal as possible on most shots I take. I like to challenge myself to do it all in camera and no post just like when I did a lot of film.
In my camera bag
Canon 40D dinosaur ???? and either a Tamron 17-50mm 2.8, Sigma 30mm 1.4, lens cleaner, batteries, charger and probably a few random things that don’t belong
Feedback
Just get out and shoot all you can. Shoot what you like as it’s more enjoyable. Break the rules. Break all the rules. Don’t care too much and love what you do.
