Location
I took this photograph at Dibba Beach in Fujairah - UAE.Time
It was taken during the sunset at around 17:40 hrs.Lighting
It was taken without any artificial lighting, infect to stop down the shutter speed I had to use ND 1000 - 10 Stops filter. This gave me 15 second shutter speed at F/22.Equipment
I used my beloved Nikon D7200 with Tamron SP 15-30 F2.8 Di VC USD lens. As I mentioned, I used 10-Stop ND Filter attached to Haida 150mm Filer Holder System and this whole setup was placed on Z988 Pro Tripod.Inspiration
The horizontal rock was very unique and it was actually corroded by the waves over the period of time but it was till standing and this is very inspiring. I looked for better angle and view and finally took this shot.Editing
I did very minimal post-processing in this shot. One obvious thing I did was to convert it in to Black & White image and tweaked the highlights, contrast and exposure to my liking. In my camera bag
I have my Nikon D7200, Tamron SP 15-30 F2.8 Di VC USD lens, Voigtlander Nokton 58mm F1.4 Manual lens, Lomography Petzval 58mm Bokeh Control lens, Nikkor 50mm 1.8G, Nikkor 18-140 Ed VR lens, Kenko Extension Tubes Set, Wireless remote trigger, extra battery, 2X64gb Sandisk Ultra Pro U3 and 2X16gb Cards, cleaning kit.Feedback
Plan your shooting place and time well in advance. Try to look for different angles and views of your subject. If shooting long-exposure shots then make sure to block the viewfinder, etc. as light will easily leak from this area. Above all, explore as much as you can!
