This photo is taken from the outer crescent of Palm Jumeirah looking over to Dubai Marina. It is a beautiful sight and a must visit spot for any photographer who visit Dubai and wants to capture some of the best cityscape views.Time
It was shot after the sunset as I missed the sunset time but still you have lot of opportunities to shoot the Dubai Marina Views.Lighting
Lighting in this photo is natural, lights from the buildings and streets. I've enhanced the lighting in post-processing as well.Equipment
This shot was taken by Nikon D7200 with Voigtlander Nokton 58mm F1. 4 Manual lens set on F/5.6. The whole setup was used on Zomei Z988 professional tripod. I also uelsed wireless remote trigger to take the shots.Inspiration
The Dubai Marina skyline is very impressive sight! There are thousands of photographs of this area taken by thousands of photographers and I wanted to create something different. For this I specifically used 58mm lens and not wide angle lens so when I stitch the panorama I still get very good details and play with the image in post-processing.Editing
Yes! This image is composite of 6 images. I created both color and black & white version of this shot and particularly black & white one turned out to be more dramatic. The lighting effect, clouds, etc added more drama to the imgaet. The post-processing indeed took a lot of time and efforts, but it was worth it!In my camera bag

Plan everything in advance so you can take maximum benefits when you actually start shooting. Know the place, try do some research on how you will achieve the results you have in your mind. Always try to look at the composition from different angles, try to do something that no one else has done! Don't hesitate to zoom in even if it is a landscape / cityscape shot. Maybe you'll get a complete different perspective to your shot!
