Last year one could see the water, but now in 2016 its full of invasive plant life.

Location
My photo was taken at John Chestnut Park on Lake Tarpon in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. And, it's one of our favorite parks to walk our Basset Hound.Time
Photo taken approximately 9 am in the morning.Lighting
The sun was up, but the park is full of a variety of gorgeous tall trees creating shadows and reflections in the water.Equipment
I hardly ever us a tripod or flash. My current camera is a Canon SX60 and I just love my new camera. I've only had this specific camera for about a year. Prior to this Canon I had a Canon PowerShot S5 IS and that is the camera I used for this photo. It was a great camera, but the one I have now is far superior.Inspiration
I love the wooden bridge over the water that leads to Lake Tarpon and the reflection of the trees were here and there interspersed with organic material in the water. One always has to be on the look out for gators in Florida so standing at the edge of the water is not recommended.Editing
Most of my photos are processed using Picasa, but usually with landscape photos when the light is right I don't have to do much to capture my desired image. In my camera bag
My camera, extra battery charged, lens cleaner and cloth. But, I also carry my car keys, iPhone and glasses, not that I need them for taking photos.Feedback
Early morning and late afternoon are usually the best times to take photos allowing for shadows and light to enhance and inspire images. It's best to always consider background, level horizon, but cropping helps in extreme cases.
