My photo was taken at the pier at Weaver Park in Dunedin, FL at sunset. We had an old family friend visiting and of course I took my camera with me. The Egret seemed to be posing for me and I waited until the sun was aligned just right.Time
Fortunately we arrived at the Pier before Sunset in 2013 to capture photo apps and to show our friend Dunedin.Lighting
I wanted to capture the silhouette of the Egret with the sunsetting in the background and the beautiful colors of the sunset from the Pier.Equipment
My current digital camera is a Canon SX60. But this photo was taken with my old Canon PowerShot S5 IS. And, no flash, special lens or tripod were used.Inspiration
I love the sun setting on the Gulf of Mexico and all the birds that I can locate hoping they won't fly away before I can get my photo.Editing
I usually do post-processing when needed. However, the colors were perfect and I didn't need to change a thing except crop a bit.In my camera bag
My current digital camera is a Canon PowerShot SX60 HS.Feedback
Be at the right place at the right time and always take your camera. Be aware of the time of day since light is so important. And, look for the horizon and subject matter in the back ground as well as the subject you are trying to capture.
