I will readily admit I was under prepared for this image. We arrived 30 minutes prior to the scheduled launch. I set up, used Google Earth to plot a relative heading from my location to the launch pad located a few miles away. I did multiple test exposures to ensure proper composition. What I did not plan on, was the rocket launching out of my frame. I saw the glow, quickly turned the camera left and tripped the shutter, hoping for the best.
