When in Iceland you have to explore and try new things and this was one of many experiences I loved. Arriving at this random parking lot located in the middle of nowhere we didn't know what to expect. We pulled up and the first thing I noticed was that someone had left a headlamp in the parking lot to help me explore the caves. The are several caves in this area with nice size entrances and as I have never explored a cave, not even during the day I was a little nervous. There is many myths about this area including the story of ghosts dwell in the caves and said to killed any group that enters. So I walked down into this lava tube I kept saying to my friend that this is scary. The headlamp could only shine so far into the cave before it would fade into black hole on the horizon. You could hear the water dipping from the ceiling which gave me an even more erie feeling and then out of nowhere I spotted the eyes! I freaked out and got out of the cave instantly after that. When in a new area and these little green eyes are staring at you from the darkness it sure makes you jump, even if it is only a rodent staring at you. Thank you for viewing and feel free to share.
