Through the ages, a raging glacial river has carved it's path through miles and miles of solid lava on its journey from Europe´s largest glacier, "Vatnajökull" in southern Iceland, across the country to meet the sea on the northern coast.Standing on the edge one can actually feel the tremble of the lava while the huge flow rushes by, and the roaring sound makes a normal conversation impossible.This is a place where man really feels and looks small compared to mother nature.
