This was taken Memorial Day weekend at Cachuma Lake which is west of Santa Barbara, California. A beautiful lake on a beautiful day. The bare area between the tree line and the water's edge used to be underwater. This photo highlights the extensiveness of the drought in the southwestern United States. Some towns have already run completely out of water.
