Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo when I was out at the cliffs which are next to the town of Arbroath on the east coast of Scotland.

Time

After spending the day trying out some shots the sun was just going down and I thought this looked liked a perfect place.

Lighting

With the sun going down I knew I had to try and get a long exposure shot of this and it turned out better than I could have expected.

Equipment

I used my Sony a5000 camera and a tripod.

Inspiration

I saw the location and the way the tide was coming in and knew I needed to try out getting this picture. It was one of the first times I had tried out long exposure and I was really trying to get that milky effect with the water.

Editing

I think the only post processing I did was to bring out the bright colours more to show off the rocks on the side.

In my camera bag

I usually just have my camera and a few different lenses so I can have a few options when I'm out and about.

Feedback

Just get out there and keep trying and you'll get there taking great pictures.
