I use old manual lenses so it takes me a while to focus, on top of which, the cheeky little bird comes within my minimum focus distance but its all good fun, thanks for comments, regards

Behind The Lens
Location
The back garden is shared with this visitor on a regular basis. If i have the cat with me, there will be constant noise from the robin until the cat gives up and heads back to her bed.Time
My wife went shopping with our next door neighbour and left me to cultivate my garden along with my favourite birdsLighting
Trees shade my garden in the morning alongside the gripe - which is a land-drain. The trees that grow here are holly, hawthorn, blackthorn among many others but all beloved by small birds who have great protection here.Equipment
Just hand held camera and old time lenses, manual focus and the bird often getting below the minimum distance to allow me to get the shot off.Inspiration
As you can imagine, if the robin is this friendly, then its hard to stop at any given number of shots .Editing
All shots from old lenses seem to improve with a small bit of extra contrast. Not sure why but the results are there to be seen.In my camera bag
I can bring anywhere from two to fifteen lenses outside with me and usually take a shot of the lenses lined up so i will know later which produced the best results.Feedback
If you want to take great shots, take hundreds of shots and trawl through them later to select the very best, often its the one you thought you missed earlier that makes you happier
