Location
This photo is of my husband. It was taken at a club in Ft. Lauderdale during a ‘reunion’ of musicians that used to play in various Ft. Lauderdale rock clubs in the 80’s.Time
This was taken at night, indoors.Lighting
I remember not using a flash, because I liked the haze around the stage lights. I would have to look back at the metadata to se what settings I used.Equipment
This was taken with a Nikon D5100 with an 18-300 lens. Again, I would have to look at the metadata to see the details. I know I zoomed in a bit, but not all the way to 300. The stage was also elevated...probably about four to five feet which is why I was shooting up (I was on the dance floor).Inspiration
I love capturing my husband doing what he loves to do!Editing
I might have cropped some of the photo and perhaps elevated the shadows a bit. I don’t remember exactly, I would have to go back to the original to see. I also added my copyright. In my camera bag
My Nikon D5100 camera, an SB-600 speed light flash, extra batteries for camera and flash, extra SD cards, cleaning wipes...the usual stuff!Feedback
If shooting musicians on stage, don’t use a flash! Just play with your settings until you get the right exposure. A high ISO also helps. With digital, you can shoot 100 or more photos and you’ll end up with a few good ones!
