In February 2016 a small group of us traveled to Hokkaido, Japan to photograph red-crowned cranes engaging in their ritual mating dance. As we were photographing them this white-tailed eagle swooped in to snatch a fish with its razor-like talons without ever touching the ground. Canon EOS 5DS, Canon 100-400 lens.
