Location
Captured in Ngorongoro CraterTime
It was around mid-morning, we were heading to a Rhino sighting when I encountered this scene unfolding.Lighting
It was a very hot, hazy day, the sun was beating down mercilessly.Equipment
Shot with a Canon 7d Mkii and Tamron 150-600mmInspiration
It was a very quick decision, the image presented itself and was captured fairly quickly.Editing
The image was converted to black and white, with a little tonal correction. In my camera bag
On most occasions I carry a Canon 5d Mkii with 17-40mm L attached, also carry a Canon 7d mkii with a combination of 24-105mm L and Tamron 150-600mm. Depending on the style of shooting though, I also carry a Canon 70-200mm L, Canon 85mm prime, and a Canon 40mm prime amongst others.Feedback
My best advice is to be prepared for the unexpected and to not be afraid of taking experimental shots in regards to exposure or composition. With regard to capturing wildlife a good fast shutter speed and burst mode also are very useful.
