Walking down a long path to the sea in the Osa peninsula in Costa Rica I saw some monkeys jumping from tree to tree. Having gotten my attention I looked closely in the top of an adjacent tree and spotted this howler monkey taking a snooze. I wouldn't have seen her some 50 feet or more in the air except for a beam of light streaming through the dark canopy. Canon 5D Mark III, 500 mm lens with 1.4X.
